"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?" Join the insane masquerade with this leather carved mask inspired by the video game, Bioshock. This mask was carved from 8 oz vegetable tanned leather and molded by hand, painted with acrylic crackle effects, and protected with Glossy varnish. The mask affixes the face with gold elastic strands.
It is somewhat heavy due to the long ears (measuring at 10 inches) and has been padded on the back over the bridge of the nose where the tension to support the ears is at its greatest.
I tried a new technique on this one where I used acrylic crackle medium to mimic a porcelain finish. I then used the tip of an old dull blade to scratch away the paint to reveal the dark brown underneath within the cracks. I'll definitely have to experiment with this finish more often!

I love it I think you did an amazing job! I have the one that was made by 2k games and yours is just as amazing if not better I love the finish on it!
