It's no secret I'm a HUGE Game of Thrones fan so I won't even try to deny that these three handsome dragons were inspired by Daenerys' 'children'.
For those who don't know them, the dragons represent the return of magic to a world where they were once thought extinct. It took a huge event of sorrow (and fire!) to birth them into the world once again.
They were crafted in 8 oz. leather with the scales tooled in with stamps. Then I hand painted each one with leather dyes and acrylic paints.
I still need to finish reading the books myself. I listened to the audiobooks of the first one and some of the 2nd, but they're so dense it's hard to listen while I work. I end up missing something! I eventually decided I want to be surprised by what happens in the TV show. Even still, I want to read them at some point. Seems like we're missing a lot of the dream visions and mysticism that's more prominent in the books than the show, from what I can tell.
Think my aunt listened to the first one as she couldn't pronounce all the weird names and was getting confused but that was before the series started I think so at least I'll be able to know who's who easier. I've done that in the past while working and you don't notice you're not paying attention until you're completely lost XD That's why I haven't got round to it yet, kinda like knowing a story before seeing a tv show or film version I always feel that when I do read the book after seeing it that I end up not happy with the show of film because it's such a poor representation. My aunt says she can enjoy both versions though so I think they've hopefully done alright. Just need to find time to start reading them, college is throwing lots at us now we're HNC level.
